How to Add or Remove Players from Your Team Roster

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to add or remove players from your team roster.

As a team manager, you can easily add or remove players from your team roster on the USSSA website. This guide will walk you through the process of logging in, navigating to the roster management section, adding or removing players, and managing the approval process for added players.

Step 1: Log In as a Team Manager

  1. Click on the "Login" button at the top right of the page.

  2. Make sure "Team Managers" is selected and log in using your login ID and password.

Step 2: Navigate to the Roster Management Section

  1. Once logged in, select your team from the list of your teams.

  2. Click on the "Manage my players" option.

Step 3: Adding Players to Your Roster

  • To add eligible players:

    1. Under the "Eligible Players" section, select the players you want to add from the list of eligible players.

    2. Click on the "Add Selected Players" button.

  • To add a new player:

    1. Click on the "Add New Player" button.

    2. Fill out the required information for the new player (first name, last name, date of birth, etc.).

    3. Click "Add Player".

  • To add a former player:

    1. Click on the "Add Former Player" button.

    2. Select the players you want to add from the list of former players.

    3. Click on the "Add Selected Players" button.

Step 4: Managing the Approval Process for Added Players

  1. After adding a player, their status will be listed as "Pending Approval".

  2. To request approval for a pending player:

    • Click on the "Request Approval" button next to the player's name.

    • This will send a request to the player's guardian for roster approval.

  3. You can view the approval status of each player under the "Current Roster" section:

    • Approved: The player has been approved and is eligible to play.

    • Pending: The player's approval is pending, and they are not yet eligible to play.

    • Rejected: The player has been rejected and is not eligible to play.

Step 5: Removing Players from Your Roster

  1. From the Team Manager Dashboard select the team of the player you would like to remove.

  2. Click on the "Manage My Players" button.

  3. Select "Eligible Players"

  4. Select "Remove"

Step 4: Removing Players from Your Roster

  1. Under the "Current Roster" section, locate the player you want to remove.

  2. Click on the "Remove" button next to the player's name.

  3. Confirm the removal when prompted.
